rytec.be -> epg for newnigma2 unstables since 24.05.2010

what u have to do. first u must have an unstable image of 24.05.2010 or newer. u can install rytec epg via softwaremanager or install it via telnet/ssh with following command

opkg install enigma2-plugin-extensions-xmltvimport

now it is installed. u dont have to put rytec.sources.xml in /etc/epgimport. they are allready there.

after these steps u have to restart e2 (which means gui restart). now press the blue button -> EPGImport. here u can select how many days u want epg and more. if u are in the "EPG Import Configuration" press blue button (sources). there u can select your epg channels by pressing "OK". after u selected your epg-data press the green button. now you are back in the "EPG Import Configuration". when u are finished press green button and he should load your epg. u should restart enigma2 again and take a look in the epg import again if he saved all your choices.

in some small tests it works great. please remenber too much epg-data and plugins in flash (especially picons in flash) can kill your box.

ihr braucht, um rytec epg zu benutzen ein unstable image ab 24.05.2010. entweder installiert ihr das plugin dann via softwaremanager oder per telnet/ssh mit folgendem befehl

opkg install enigma2-plugin-extensions-xmltvimport

das verzeichnis /etc/epgimport wird automatisch angelegt. die rytec sources sind ebenfalls schon enthalten.

wenn ihr das getan habt, muesst ihr enigma2 neustarten (gui neustarten). nach dem neustart drueckt ihr die blaue taste -> EPGImport. ihr koennt nun auswaehlen wieviele tage und wann er das epg aktualisieren soll. wenn ihr nun noch im "EPG Import Configuration" Menu seid, dann drueckt die blaue taste (sources). dort koennt ihr nun euer gewuenschtes epg auswaehlen indem ihr die "OK"-Taste drueck. wenn ihr fertig seid mit dem auswaehlen eurer epg-daten, dann drueckt die gruene taste. nun seid ihr wieder im "EPG Import Configuration" Menu. wenn ihr fertig seid, drueckt die gruene taste. nun solltet ihr enigma2 noch mal neustarten um zu schauen, ob er eure einstellungen uebernommen hat.

einige kleine tests mit dem epg waren sehr gut. die epg-datenmenge ist sehr gross und kann unter umstaenden eure box killen, vorallem wenn man noch picons im flash hat.

had no problems importing uk, canalsat and sky ger - flashmem. used 95 mb, after update with 3 days detailled description 120 mb used on dm800

great feature, thnx a lot

Mit 'killen' meinst du ...... , die 500HD sind oft in letzter Zeit "Tod" smile

das war damit nicht gemeint. es gibt welche die installieren alles in den flash und wenn dann noch mal ne grosse menge epg dazu kommt, streikt selbt die box irgendwann großes Grinsen

Hmmm ..., hab jetzt extra mal das unstable geflasht.
Die Vorteile von rytec gegenüber CrossEPG erschließen sich mir nicht. Unter "sources" lassen sich die gewünschten EPG's für Sky Italia und UK auch nicht mit OK auswählen wie beschrieben. Bin nun doch wieder zum NN 2.8.4 zurück wo zumindest Timeraufnahmen dank CrossEPG auch funktionieren. Bis diverse andere Probleme Fragen vor dem Flashen des Newnigma2 v.3.0 gefixt sind, werde ich auch dabei bleiben.

Normal in hdd, but you can edit the py file sow you can use hdd/usb/cf cool

Für alle Sender, die nicht eingebunden sind, mußt Du Rytec.be fragen.
Das Plugin und die Datenbank kommt von denen. (oder von XMLTV?) - abr nicht von uns.
Wir können da gar nichts machen.

I have been using this wonderful plugin for half a year now. It works also fine under the stable 3.0. No problem at all!

Yes, you can online update from an unstable image to the latest unstable of the day.
